British Tourist Allegedly Dead On Drug Overdose

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A British tourist had been found dead in a guest house in Cambodia called the Walkabout Guest house in Psa Thmey 3 district last Sunday afternoon. The man was found on his knees and his chest on the bed.

Davey Marc, a 28 year old British male had arrived at the guest house with 3 of his friends who the receptionist reported were drunk, and one of the friends had asked if one of his friends could help him to his room. The men arrived at the guest on the 4th of April 2015 after entering Cambodia as a tourist from Bangkok, Thailand.

At around 1pm on the 5th of April(Sunday), a cleaner had knocked on the room of Marc, but got no response. The staff got the key of the hotel to open the door of the room to the cleaner and found Marc's body around 1pm that day. The case was immediately reported to local authorities.

The police are trying to find out how Marc died and had sent his body to the Khmer-Soviet friendship hospital. Marc's parent will take his body to be buried in the UK

The expats in Cambodia have been making different assumptions via the Cambodia expats forum of what could have killed the young man, while some of the expats had said different bars in Cambodia are known for diluting their drinks with different unknown chemicals expats can't figure out while drunk so they can make some money, other suggested the man might have died with drug overdose or drugs he bought from a Tuk-Tuk drivers. Such drugs are also mixed with things that could kill anyone pretty fast.
