Donald Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort Quits

 Paul Manafort, campaign chairman for Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump has resigned from the position just 2 months he assumed the position. Paul, 67-year-old veteran political strategist has recently being criticised for his ties to Russian-backed, former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.

Donald Trump also confirmed the news of Paul resignation in a statement. Though it is not clear exactly why he had left the Trump campaign which was overhauled this week with the addition of a new campaign chief executive and a new campaign manager.

Trump in his statement said;

This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process.
