About Neil Gorsuch of Colorado

Neil Gorsuch, 49 is former Justice Antonin Scalia acolyte, and sits on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. While speaking on his nomination, he channels Justice Scalia's philosophy and also writes with a Scalia-like flair.

He believes that judges should interpret the law in the way they are written, and enforce the constitution in the way the nation's framers intended. He has degrees from Harvard, Oxford and Columbia.

Speaking on his nomination, Gorusuch said;

Mr. President, I am honored and I am humbled,It is the role of judges to apply, not alter, the work of the people’s represent.

A judge who likes every outcome he reaches is very likely a bad judge, stretching for results he prefers rather than those the law demands.
