Duterte Has Asked The US Special Forces To Vacate Southern Philippines

Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte has asked that the US special forces in the southern island of Mindanao to vacate the Island as their presence worsen the situation in the Muslim-majority area long riven by insurgency and terrorism.

More than 1,300 American troops are currently on the Island since 2012, and the president has said that the country will need to review its policy on how the Americans fight terrorism in the Mindanao region.

Duterte said;

 These special forces, they have to go, They have to, in Mindanao -- there are many white men there..I just couldn’t say it before out of respect, I don’t want a rift with America but they have to go.
