German Shot Himself In The Head In Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: Tragedy struck struck in a Sen Sok Hospital, when a German national shot himself in what the police are investigating if it is murder or suicide. 

Dr. Wolfgang Schmidtberg, 54 years old German national and a dentist in Tuol Kork was diagnosed with colon cancer 2 weeks ago, and was reported to have shot himself at close range on his sick bed. The hospital said they had rushed to the room of Dr Wolfgang after hearing a loud shot, and found him dead with a gun to his head.

According to the police, Wolfgang has asked his brother-in-law, Khun Puthyvong,to get a gun in his drawer and bring to the hospital. When he arrived at the hospital, he had asked that the nurse in the room at the room go out, few minutes later, they heard the gun shot.

 

However the investigation continues if the brother-in-law shot Wolfgang and dropped the gun near him. Investigators are yet to decide if it is a murder or a suicide.

The Sen-Sok police department contacted the German embassy, but the police officer said that ther German embassy are yet to send any representative to the body. So they will release the body to the wife once investigation is completed.
