Girls Scouts To Support Trans-Gender Girls, Returns $100,000 To Homophobic Donor, Got It In Donation in 24 Hours

Girls Scouts chapter in Western Washington is throwing their weight in support of trans-gender and have made their stand after returning a whooping $100,000 from a donor who had asked that the money be only used for girls that are not transgender, the donor also puts a clause in the donation, the donor wants that the money be returned if the condition could not be met.

The money was supposed to be used in raising 500 girls to join Girl Scouts, but it was returned and the group wants the money to be raised again.

The donor wrote :

Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls. If you can't, please return the money

The group released a statement and said :

Recently, we received a $100K donation to help 500 girls participate in Girl Scouts. However, when the donor asked us to guarantee that the money wouldn't be used to help transgender girls, we gave the money back. Now, we've launched a grassroots campaign to raise back this $100K! Help us by donating, spreading the word, and showing the world that Girl Scouts is #ForEVERYGirl!" the Girls Scouts announced with the clip.

Girl Scouts also shares a powerful video while asking for the new donation, GS wrote :

Girl Scouts empowers EVERY girl regardless of her gender identity, socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation. To make the world a better place, we won't exclude ANY girl. Every girl deserves access to a safe, friendly environment where she can stand up for what she believes in and be proud of who she is.

The Girl Scout reached $185,000 in donation in just 24 hours
