Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto Cancels Meeting To White House

The Donald Trump border wall has caused a rift between the US and its neighbouring country, Mexico. The newly elected US President, Donald Trump is trying to fulfil most of his campaign promises, and one of those is to build a border wall between the US and Mexico.

Donald Trump during his campaign has said that the country will build a wall between the US and Mexico because Mexico have always sent their criminals to the United States, and only a wall will limit the illegal entry of Mexicans to the United States.

After the  a ceremony at the Department of Homeland Security after honouring the department's newly confirmed secretary, retired Gen. John Kelly, Trump said that the country will immediately start the building of the wall, and assured Americans that Mexico will pay for the wall, something that angers Mexicans and prompted Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto to respond, saying Mexico do not believe in the wall, and will not pay for President Donald Trump proposed wall.

Angry about Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto response, Donald Trump went to Twitter and said if Mexico is unwilling to pay for the wall, it should cancel the upcoming meeting.

In an effort to uphold Mexico dignity amidst all the backlash from Mexicans that their president should cancel the meeting, Nieto also tweeted and said that his office will be canceling the meeting with the President of the United States.
