Padua, Italy : An Italian man, Dino Maglio is currently in police custody for drugging and raping more than 15 girls in his home in Padua, Italy. Dino has lured the ladies via the travel-hosting website, Couchsurfing. The man was recently arrested for raping a 16 year old Australian girl who was travelling with his mother and younger sister.
The man who goes by Leonardo on his profile and also a policeman admitted to using tranquillizers and sleeping with the young lady even after he knows she is a minor at the time of the incident. Lawyers from Australian are currently asking for $354,000 for damages.

Since the trial of Maglio, fourteen women from seven different countries has also came forward to confirm the man had raped them after arranging to host them at his place. The man is said to have hosted hundreds of ladies via the travel-hosting website. He once told one of his victims that his account was closed down because he had too many positive reviews and he had to open a new one.
Another tactic of Dino as said by one of the women is he keeps complimenting them on their looks which raises a little bit of suspicion. He will play a tour guide to his host for a day or two, then on the second night, he will lace up their drinks with a rape drug. The women who had trusted him because they were travelling with friends and moreover the man is a policeman will only wake up feeling dazed and might not remember what had happened till after a week. They only have a little information of what had happened and none of the ladies would be able to protest what the man had done the previous night.
The teenager that got the man arrested was in March 2014 when he hosted the lady, the mother and the younger sister. The teenager was out late chatting with Maglio and she did not return back to her mother's room only to be found with just her underwear in Maglio room the next day by her mother.

The mother file charges against the man in Venice. Police arrested him and during a search at his home, 40 tabor pill was seized, a very powerful anti-anxiety drug.
He had since claimed that he shouldn't have spiked the teenager's drink as the sex was consensual. The man may be looking at an estimate of 7 years or more in prison.
