In Tears: South Korean president officially apologized for the ferry Disaster

The South Korean president Park Geun-hye officially apologized to the citizens in a state television amidst tears. The president have been under fire from it's citizens since the ferry transporting 472 passengers sank without good response from the coast guard.

I apologise to the nation for the pain and suffering that everyone felt, as the president who should have been responsible for the safety and lives of the people.

The accident claimed lives of 286 south koreans, while 18 are still missing. The ferry also had 339 children onboard the ferry. The president also condemned the action of the coast guard and said their actions caused the ferry to lose more lives.

Had there been an immediate and proactive rescue operation after the accident, we would have been able to reduce the casualties.

The coast guard as the time of the report is currently disbanded. 15 other people are meanwhile undergoing investigation for their negligence and not helping the people on board before scampering for safety, included in the investigation is the ferry captain, who was the first to jump out of the ferry before it finally sank is also receiving a lot of criticism nationwide from people who claimed he never tried helping, but decided to save his own life.

It is also known that the cause of the accident is that the ferry was recently remodeled to add capacity, but on the day of the trip was overloaded. A sharp turn caused the overload ferry to capsize.

We wish the dead RIP and the parents the fortitude to bear their loses.
