CNN

CNN anchor Don Lemon gets the boots from the network after 17 years. Don who had hosted Don Lemon tonight for eight years, and recently was a co-host on the Morning Show with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, was shocked by the news from the network, and he went on Twitter to say he would have thought someone in the management would have the "decency" to inform him of the news.

Don Woes

Don Lemon has faced recent backlash from women after he claimed Republican and former UN  ambassador Nikki Haley was not "in her prime" in February, a comment people have called sexist. He said "A woman is considered to be in her prime - in her 20s, 30s, and maybe her 40s", and referred the co-host to Google the statement. He released a statement apologizing for his words, calling them "inartful and irrelevant" comments. HE also apologized to the newsroom and agreed to partake in the "mandatory training" to address the incident.

Some women like Michelle Yeoh,60 referenced Don's comments during her acceptance speech last month saying "Ladies, don't let anybody tell you you're ever past your prime." In a tweet on Monday, Ms. Haley seems pleased with the firing tweeting, "great day for women everywhere" adding "#StillInMyPrime".

A report by Variety in April claimed that Don mocked a female colleague and called a producer fat to her face. These allegations were all claimed not to be true accounts by Don's representative.

Another backlash he faced was when he said the US men's soccer team should be paid more for games than the women because the men were more interesting to watch than women soccer team.

Since the comments about Ms. Haley "not in her prime comments", guests have declined requests to join the morning show when Don is co-hosting with them, according to the New York Times.

Tucker Carlson Woes

Tucker Carlson was kicked out unceremoniously from Fox News, a TV Network he had represented passionately, and was the popular show host after BIll O'Reilly left in 2017.

Fox News on Monday wrote in a statement "We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor." Fox News has been engaged with Toronto-founded Dominion Voting Systems for $787 million US and was expected to face a similar lawsuit from voting technology company Smartmatic, for $2.7 billion US in damages.

Even though during the election, and the release of the US election results, Carlson was one of the Fox News contributors that expressed doubts about the voting machine fraud claims made by then-U.S. president Donald Trump and his allies, he still went on every night about the validity of the election, and lieing to viewers that the election was a complete fraud, and brought in different people that claimed that the election was a sham perpetuated by the voting machine used.

Carlson also defended the January 6, 2021 insurrection in the US capitol that saw the death of some capitol police, a comment that got paid Fox contributors Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes to resign in protest months later.

NOW

Don Lemon and Tucker Carlson have hired entertainment lawyer, Bryan Freedman to address their firing from the networks.

Stephen Miller was on CNN State of the Union, hosted by Jake Tapper, and got his microphone cut off amid interview. Jake Tapper switched to commercial after Miller's repetition of answers not relating to the questions, and attacking both CNN network and Jake Tapper.

Jake Tapper had continually asked about the newly released Michael Wolffe book, "Fire and Fury, Inside The Trump White House", all the questions by Jake turned into a complete attack on CNN and Jake Tapper, criticising the network of his 24/7 Anti-Trump rhetorics. Stephen Miller said; "You have 24 hours of negative anti-Trump hysterical coverage on this network! Viewers are entitled to have three minutes of the truth! Why don’t you just give me three minutes to tell you about the Donald Trump that I know." and Jake responded saying, "Because it’s my show and I don’t want to do that" then went on further to calm the Senior White House adviser, adding "Stephen, settle down, calm down"

Jake then went ahead and throw a jab at Stephen Miller, who seems to be trying hard to defend the US president at all cost instead of answering the questions. Jake said; "Okay, you’re not answering the questions. There’s one viewer that you care about right now and you’re being obsequious because you’re trying to please him. I’ve wasted enough of my viewers time."

Jake was referring to the one time Stephen appeared in an interview and received praise from Trump, tweeting;

 That said, Jake Tapper cut off the interview, and went on to commercial.

Donald Trump has always attacked the news media outlet ever since he became president, and this time, he is not just saying, but putting it into action after major news outlets such as CNN, Politico, BBC, Buzzfeed and the New York Times were blocked from an off Camera briefing on Friday.

This is an unacceptable development by the Trump White House. Apparently this is how they retaliate when you report facts they don't like. We'll keep reporting regardless.

AlsoBuzzFeed Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith, in a statement said;

While we strongly object to the White House’s apparent attempt to punish news outlets whose coverage it does not like, we won’t let these latest antics distract us from the work of continuing to cover this administration fairly and aggressively.

The White House Correspondents’ Association board also released a statement that reads;

The WHCA board is protesting strongly against how today’s gaggle is being handled by the White House. We encourage the organizations that were allowed in to share the material with others in the press corps who were not. The board will be discussing this further with White House staff.

While different eye witnesses had said a thing or two since the Michael brown case, a lot of people have yet to see a complete and unedited version of the story on what happened between officer Darren Wilson and Michael Brown that led to the shooting and killing of Michael Brown.

According to eye witnesses that had come forward and a friend of Michael Brown, they had said that the officer had intentionally shot Michael Brown on that day after he had totally surrendered with his hands raised.

A clip which was later released to CNN showed a man explaining what happened, but a video that was shown on Liveleak today showed the unedited version of what actually transpired between the police and Michael.

In the video, you would hear someone saying Michael had punched the officer in the face and was running away from him. When the officer yelled "Freeze", he was charging towards the officer, who later was forced to shoot as self-defence.

See the video with the transcript below

@6:28/6:29 of video

#1 How’d he get from there to there?

#2 Because he ran, the police was still in the truck – cause he was like over the truck

{crosstalk}

#2 But him and the police was both in the truck, then he ran – the police got out and ran after him

{crosstalk}

#2 Then the next thing I know he doubled back toward him cus - the police had his gun drawn already on him –

[there is dispute here whether he says "doubled back" or "coming back."]

#1. Oh, the police got his gun

#2 The police kept dumpin on him, and I’m thinking the police kept missing – he like – be like – but he kept coming toward him

{crosstalk}

#2 Police fired shots – the next thing I know – the police was missing

#1 The Police?

#2 The Police shot him

#1 Police?

#2 The next thing I know … I’m thinking … the dude started running … (garbled something about “he took it from him”)

 Also,  an eyewitness who came forward also narrates that, Michael had punched the officer in the face and later ran away, while running, Darren shouted  "Freeze" , but Michael was taunting the officer and later was rushing towards the police which makes the officer fired shot at Michael.

These are still eyewitnesses report, we will leave this to the justice department and we hope the truth will be revealed as the case unravel. At the moment, it will be a bad judgement on anybody side to judge the officer or Michael.

RIP to Michael Brown
