Donald J Trump

According to current and former US officials, President Trump revealed some highly classified information to Russia foreign minister and ambassador during their visit to the White House last week. The information Donald Trump revealed to the Russia officials have been provided exclusively to U.S, and the U.S has not been permitted to share such information with its allies or Russia. The information is so sensitive that it is also restricted between some department in the U.S government.

This may cause the ally who had good inner working of the Islamic state to withold further information that will help the U.S in its fight in the region, as Donald Trump recent scandal endangers the cooperation of an important ally.

To be able to contain the damage, White House senior official had called the CIA and National Security Agency (NSA), calling them to alert saying Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies."

FBI Director, James Comey has been fired, in a statement, according to the White House.

The director was in the FBI office in Los Angeles for field inspection and recruitment event to boost diversity, and was watching the TV when he saw about his removal from his position. According to officials at the scene of where Comey learned of his fate, the director was "surprised, really surprised" and was "caught flat-footed."

According to the White House statement;

Today, President Donald J. Trump informed FBI Director James Comey that he has been terminated and removed from office, President Trump acted based on the clear recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions..

While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.

It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission.

Comey while testifying in front of the House Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017 confirmed to that the bureau was investigating Russian interference in the U.S. election and "any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia's efforts."

Also a later by the Attorney-General Jeff Sessions also released that reads;

It is essential that this Department of Justice clearly reaffirm its commitment to longstanding principles that ensure the integrity and fairness of federal investigations and prosecutions. The Director of the FBI must be someone who follows faithfully the rules and principles of the Department of Justice and who sets the right example for our law enforcement officials and others in the Department.

There has been back and forth love-hate relationship between Donald Trump and James Comey. Trump has criticized Comey before for helping Hillary Clinton get away with charges,Trump tweeted in May 2;

FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony Trump/Russia story was an excuse used by the Democrats as justification for losing the election. Perhaps Trump just ran a great campaign?

In one of his campaign in 2016, Trump had praised Comey when he [Comey] said that the bureau would be reviewing Hillary Clinton emails again, the then candidate Trump on his campaign trail said;

it took guts" for Comey to announce that the FBI would be reviewing emails in the previously closed investigation into Clinton's private email server.

Andrew McCabe is the current acting director of the FBI, he was the deputy to James Comey prior to his firing by Donald Trump.

After the initial failure of House Republicans to repeal and replace Former President Barack Obama signature healthcare bill, they have decided to try to do it again, and this time has succeeded to repeal Obamacare, and will be replacing it with Trumpcare.

Obamacare was replaced with a final tally of 217-213, a tally that shows a great disagreement between House Republicans. Though the bill is yet to become law, but this is a victory for House Republicans and also a victory for the Donald Trump administration who in his campaign had promised to repeal and replace the Affordable care act program.

Speaking after the vote, House speaker, Paul Ryan said;

This bill delivers on the promises that we have made to the American people,A lot of us have been waiting seven years to cast this vote … (and) to rescue people from this collapsing law.

House Republicans said that the new bill would increase competition between insurance companies, lower costs and also give States and individuals their health care choice.

According to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-California;

Trumpcare eviscerates essential health benefits," such as maternity care and prescription drug coverage,and guts protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

As the vote closed on Obamacare, some Democrats chanted, "Na na na na, hey hey, hey, goodbye"

Donald Trump has asked that South Korea pays for the $1 billion missile defense system that both countries are installing in South Korea as a defence against North Korea. The Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system was recently delivered to South Korea, a move that angered China.

In an interview with Reuters, Donald Trump was quoted to have said;

I informed South Korea it would be appropriate if they paid. It's a billion-dollar system - It's phenomenal, shoots missiles right out of the sky.

Both countries have been allies against the threat of North Korea missile system. The US and North Korea have been allies since the since the 1950-53 Korean war, and more than 28,000 US troops are stationed in South Korea.

Seoul who seems not to be happy with the change in policy said that according to the Status of Forces Agreement that governs the US military presence in its country, the US agrees to provide the THAAD system, while South Korea provides the site and location for which the system will be installed.

Trump has said that no option is off the table against the North Korea regime, and recently just said there is a chance" of "a major, major conflict" with the North, something China and Japan would try to avoid, and also might cause great casualties to the South.

US Pacific Command chief Admiral Harry Harris earlier this week has said that the US wanted to bring the North Korea leader to its senses, and not his knees.

The THAAD system is designed to intercept and destroy medium-range ballistic missiles during their final phase of flight.

A U.S official has said that the U.S Navy strike group will be moving to the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula in a show of force, because of recent North Korean leader, Kim Jong-Un missiles weapon program.

The strike group called the  Carl Vinson, will make its way from Singapore toward the Korean peninsula. The Carl Vinson includes an aircraft carrier. In a statement by U.S Navy, the Carl Vinson will be heading North, but its destination is yet to be specified, and will operate in the Western Pacific instead of its previously planned port visits to Australia.

President Donald Trump had recently met with the Chinese leader, Xi Jinping, where he asked the Chinese leader to do more to curb the excesses of Kim Jong-Un, and to stop the firing of missiles, which is dangerous to its surround neighbour and allies.

The National security adviser to Donald Trump had given him different options for North Korea, and this includes military and economic sanctions. Also, the option of pre-emptive strike on North Korea is not off the table.

Former Trump National Security Adviser, General Michael Flynn has offered to testify before the FBI and congressional committee investigating Trump-Russia inquiry in exchange for immunity.

The former NatSec through his lawyer, Robert Kelner said that he had a story to tell, but he wants immunity assurances before telling his story. In a statement by Robert, he wrote;

General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit. No reasonable person, who has the benefit of advice from counsel, would submit to questioning in such a highly politicized, witch hunt environment without assurances against unfair prosecution.

Michel Flynn was paid $68,000 in expenses by Russia linked companies in 2015.

While the Donald Trump administration sees staying the Paris Climate change as wasting of US funds, and had signed an executive order to withdraw US from the climate change agreement, Exxon’s manager for environmental policy,Peter Trelenberg is advising the US president not to leave the agreement.

Exxonmobil believes that the agreement would reduce climate change and give a boost to natural gas production. In a letter sent to Donald Trump, Peter in his letter said the agreement signed in 2016 by former president Barack Obama is “an effective framework for addressing the risks of climate change. It is prudent that the United States remain a party to the Paris agreement to ensure a level playing field, so that global energy markets remain as free and competitive as possible."

Former Exxon Chairman, and the secretary of state in the Trump's administration, Rex Tillerson is also advocating for President Donald Trump to stay in the agreement, as it will also help the US diplomatically.

Investigators are currently looking into Exxon for hiding information on climate change, and hiding the information on Global warming. The company is alleged of misleading the public about the effects of climate change, and its supposed effect global warming has on sea levels.
