10 Soldiers Reportedly Killed In Mali After An Attack On The Army Camp

At least 10 Malians Army has been killed in an attack in an attack by armed men in the Army post in Northern Village.

According to the AP, an eyewitness,Moussa Cisse, the armed men came on motorcycles into the camp in Gourma-Rharouss in  about 160 kilometres (100 miles) southeast of Timbuktu, killing at least 10 soldiers and burned 2 cars.

        

Defence Ministry adviser Lt. Col. Diarran Kone confirmed the attack, but decline to talk about the number of the dead soldiers.

The Northern part of Mali had fell into the hands of Islamic extremist following a military coup in 2012. A french-led military had scattered the militants, but the area is still insecure.

The attack of the army came 2 days after 2 Malian soldiers were killed in the South during an ambush on their convoy
