The Muhammadu Buhari administration had promised a war on fraud, embezzlement, and from the reports from far and near, the administration of the current government is arresting and detaining government officials that have diverted government funds to their personal use.

The latest person in the net of President Muhammadu Buhari is the closest allies and former minister of petroleum resource, Mrs Allison Madueke. A source in Aso rock said that the former minister of petroleum resources had offered to return to the government purse, a sum of $250 Million dollar to stop further investigation and possible prosecution.

Allison has been reaching out to close friends of President Muhammadu Buhari and influential person of the ruling party to intercede for her to accept the offer and let bygones be bygones. Some enlisted person she had met includes the current governor of Kaduna State, Governor Nasir el-Rufai.  A governor who opposes corruption and won't keep talking about it before his election.

The former minister was reported to have been involved in a lot of oil swap deals and facilitated the different money laundering scheme. She was also involved in different direct looting through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), that makes the former Central Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido revealed that the NNPC has failed to remit more than $20 Billion in oil revenue to the CBN, a revelation that ends his office term and seizing of his foreign passport and harassment by government officials.

Also the Nigeria online news media dedicated to exposing wrongdoing of government officials, Sahara reporters have learnt that Mrs Ngozi-Iweala have been co-operating with the Buhari administration and have been exposing series of questionable financial transactions by the Jonathan administration.

Ms Ngozi Iweala has exposed a series of shady financial deals in the Jonathan administration.

President Muhammadu Buhari is not impressed with Allison-Madueke offer, as he considers it ridiculous considering the amount of money that was looted during her administration in office, One source told Sahara Reporters.

Buhari is planning to audit all deals of Allison Madueke and her cohorts, this will also include the different offices that reported to the former petroleum minister while she was at the office.

Recently, Buhari ordered investigation into how $3 Billion was spent on defence budget, and during the week, the security agents searched the home of the former National security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and carted away some revealing documents.

The former CSO of President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Obuah was recently detained after it was revealed that the chief security officer was the brain behind a multi-billion oil bunkering deal during the Jonathan administration.

President Muhammadu Buhari during his election campaign had assured the past government, he won't be looking into their corrupt practices, the president had received a frown from Nigerians when he made the statement, and he said that looking into it would waste time and they might not achieve the reasons they were elected.

But from the daily arrest of past government officials, it seems to be a smoke screen to allow them relax and look all they can, while he catch up with them.

Talk about military style.
