Jakarta, Indonesia : An AirAsia plane with flight number QZ 8501 carrying 162 passengers from Indonesia to Singapore this morning had lost contact with the Air traffic control and is reported missing. The Airbus 320 took off from Surubaya, Indonesia ; 5:30am local time and was supposed to be at Changi airport, at 8:30am local time.
At the moment, the Airbus 320 is declared missing after it lost contact with Jakarta air traffic control at 6 :17am local time, Hadi Mustofa, Transport Ministry official. He also said that the flight seems to have lost contact between Kalimantan and Belitung island.
