British War Hero, Billy Cage Was Urinated And Spat At By Vile Thugs

A British war hero, Billy Cage, has decided to speak against the lack of support by the government and himself and other have become homeless. Billy Cage, 39-years-old spent 11 years in the Army after joining only at the age of 16. Billy said he had toured Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Bosnia and Sierra Leone, but left at 2004.

Billy Cage had left the army to start a plastering business, and also get married to become a father, but unfortunately, both business and marriage fell apart after his six-year old daughter died.

Billy talked about how vile thugs urinated on him, spat on him, and also set fire on his bedding. Billy who served as Arms commando in the army said;

Sometimes I just go to a quiet street and cry to myself, I just can't believe I'm in this situation.I have put my life on the line for the good of this country and this is the way I'm treated? It's disgusting.

Billy also blasted the lack of suport of the army and said;

I'm not the only person that has served in the forces and is now on the streets.There are so many of us that are just forgotten about. We were just a number, and now when times are hard, they forget we even exist.

Billy said he had contacted the  Royal British Legion for help, but he has got nothing at the moment as the housing system does not work for his case. He said;

 They told me they could provide a bond and rent but I can't even get a flat because every estate agent I go to ask for reference fees which would cost around £100 and I’m on the street.I can't afford that. I'm lucky if I even get £5 a day. I just keep hitting brick walls.

A spokesperson for the Royal British legion, has responded to the story of Mr Billy Cage, and said that no record of Billy Cage was recorded and the office would like him to come around soon, she said;

We are actively wanting Mr Gage to come to the centre and want to help him. It is not the case that we have turned him away. The Legion provides care and support to veterans and serving personnel including financial advice, help with housing and the provision of white and brown goods.

We aim to provide the best possible care to help beneficiaries get back on their feet.
