Cop Jailed After He Asked His Girlfriend To Abort Twins, And Dumped Her Hours Later

A police officer, Darren Heath, 45, is jailed by Bristol Crown Court for 3 years and 9 months after a lady he jilted reported him to the police. Darren had met with Helen Dunn, 31-year-old after she reported a case of an unconscious man on the street.

Darren then tried dating Helen, and after many attempts, she accepted to go out with him. Darren revealed to Helen he is single, and while on police duty with Gloucestershire Police, Darren will go meet Helen for sex.

It was all good until Helen announced that she is pregnant. This was the time officer Daren announced to Helen that he actually had a wife and 2 children, and he will kill himself if Helen decided to hold on to keeping her pregnancy.

The man then asked that they abort the baby, but left her while abortion was ongoing, and only to come back to break up with her.

According to Helen;

When I first met Darren he completely swept me off my feet and I quickly fell for him.Being a police officer meant I dropped my guard quicker than I usually would have done as I thought I could trust him – I couldn't have been more wrong.

When he told me to terminate the pregnancy, I was heartbroken it was an option I would've never considered. When he told me to terminate the pregnancy, I was heartbroken it was an option I would've never considered.

When I went to the clinic I was so scared and alone after he kept failing to turn up to appointments. The doctor told me I was having twins and I told Darren there was no way I could go through with an abortion.

Darren continued to pressure me until I felt trapped, he told me his life wouldn't be worth living if I had the babies, so I re-booked and this time he came with me.

As soon as I'd taken the tablets and the termination began he made his excuses about work and left so I was forced to lose our babies on my own.

Unknown to Helen, Daren was under investigation from other women that had reported him of the same behaviour, so when she wrote a complaint about in an article section on Facebook, about another officer who had been sleeping with with women on the job, she was contacted by police already investigating the case.

Heath was charged to court and he pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape and two further charges of misconduct in the public office, which will be allowed to lie on file. He was sentenced to 3 years and 9 months.

Satisfied with the jury, Helen said :

Darren is now finally behind bars for what he did to me, it was wicked and cruel – now I can finally move on with my life.

I'm just glad someone believed me and he's now locked away so he can't do the same to anyone else. I still think about the twins every day and wish the circumstances had been different – no amount of time can ever bring them back.
