Police Shot A Man Wearing Body Armor And Taking School Photos In Illinois

Police in Northern Illinois have shot a man on Wednesday after he was suspected of taking photographs of schools why wearing body armours. The officers at  Lake County Major Crime Task Force released a statement that officers were called around 8:30am about a strange man taking pictures of local schools.

The statement reads in parts:

The suspicious person was located by officers and a foot pursuit ensued.It appeared the offender was wearing body armor. After the foot pursuit, a struggle with the offender and officers ensued, which resulted in the offender being shot.

The man was taken to the hospital as officers at the scene tried keeping him alive, but was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the suspecs and the police who fired the shot were not released to the public, and cops have said they have no other suspect linked with the man.

Schools in the area were immediately placed on lockdown, but was lifted in the early afternoon.
