Buhari ministerial list

President Buhari had told Washington during his visit to the US that he will appoint and name his ministers in September 2015. So the DSS has started the screening of people that have been nominated for the ministerial position, and a lot of the nominees have failed the anti-corruption stages including Rotimi Amaechi, Babatunde Fashola and Kayode Fayemi.

The three former governors were denied the ministerial screening because of petitions brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC).

Some of the prospective ministers includes, Lagos lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), former governor of Osun state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Festus Odimegwu, a former managing director of Nigerian Breweries Limited.

According to reports, APC leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigeria vice-president, Yemi Osibanjo are asking that the Muhammadu Buhari appoints Femi Falana as the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, telling him that such political move will boost his image as true democrat if he appoints a man he jailed 30 years ago. But Buhari is looking into appointing Abubakar Malami (SAN), a former National Legal Adviser to the defunct Congress for Progressive Change.
