building homes for the homeless

While her mates might be crying to have a barbie or waiting for the next console games, Hailey Fort, 9 year old American has decided to give shelter to the homeless people and she started the project already.

      

The young girl was touched when she was 5 years old and seeing a man without a home, Hailey asked how she could help by providing food and houses for such people. Hailey from King Fort, Washington has been building the houses all by herself with the help from her parents.

       

One of the people enjoying the kindness of the 9 years old is Edward; he has recently lost his job at a local supermarket, and Hailey is trying to get him a house, a place that is warm and dry. Hailey mother is also supportin her daughter by making sure she speak with the city ordinance to know where is the best location for the home, as an exact location is yet to be built.

      

Hailey is skilled with power tools like nail guns, electric drills and hydraulic staplers. Aside from Hailey's mother helping her, Hailey also talks to her grandfather who is a contractor on the best way to building the shelters. The home she is been building are well insulated so that the homeless are kept warm.

      

Edward is not the only homeless man Hailey plans to help, she had planned to build 12 homes for homeless people before the end of the year.

The homes will also have a P.O boxes that will allow homeless people receive their mail while they apply for jobs that will make them get back on their feet.
