Drupal Tutorials

This piece is for content-writers and editors who are using the drupal framework system. Most times, while writing, it is possible for the browser to crash or if you are a Google Chrome user, you might mistakenly close a tab, as Google Chrome won't confirm with you if the tab should be closed unlike Firefox or other browsers.

So to automatically take a snapshot of your content while still in your content editor, a Drupal module is available on the Drupal website to help take care of that. This module will automatically take the snapshot of your contents in a specified time you have set for it.

To start using the module, Download Autosave..

Install the module to your drupal website as you would on any drupal website

Enable the module

Go to configuration------> Content Authoring ---------> Autosave

Choose the seconds you want your contents to autosave in case of crashes or problems with your content editing.

You can choose stealth mode, this is good if you don't want notification of the snapshots at your specified time, you can leave it to see a little notification bar whenever the contents are saved :

Anytime you experience a crash or closing your browser, all you have to do is try to create a new content. A notification will show up asking you to restore a saved contents or ignore it. You can click on restore and all your contents will be back. These can be Video, images and more.

Don't lose your data again, use Autosave module on drupal.
