Joaquin El Chapo Guzman

The search of the fugitive drug lord, El-Chapo might be getting close after one of his son, Jesus Alfredo Guzman posted a photo of him and his father and forgetting to turn off the location of the picture location on Twitter, revealing that the picture was taken in Costa Rica.

Alfredo posted the picture with the caption, "August here, you already know with whom”, and forgetting to disable the Geo-location of the app, showing the picture was taken in Costa Rica.

The faces of El-Chapo was blocked out, but it looks like they were in a restaurant. Costa Rican authorities are now searching for the man who is responsible for the death of some 34,000 people, and are looking for him on the Island.

El-Chapo escaped from a high security Mexican jail in July for the second time, passing through a hole that led to a big tunnel.

Cartel leader Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman has turned the whole of Mexico into hunting ground and turmoil after his second escape from the Altiplano maximum security prison on Saturday. In a video released today by the Mexico's National Security commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido, Guzman can be seen pacing back and forth in his prison cell, he was seen going to the shower, sit down as if waiting for a signal, and after some seconds, walk to the shower, bend down low, and just like the famous quote "Now You See Me, Now You Don't" Guzman was gone.

Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman has escaped from the Puente Grande maximum security prison in the west of Mexico, hidden inside a laundry basket in 2001, so he was off the radar until 2014 when he was arrested again. After he was recaptured, the USA has asked the Mexican government to extradite El-chapo so he can answer for different federal offences in the USA, but the Mexican government believes they can handle the man and the chances of him escaping from their maximum prison is not visible anymore.

The Mexican cartel kingpin had worked for more than 352 days and 8-10 hours shift to dug a tunnel from a location not far from the El-Chapo cell to enable the man escape. The escape of El-Chapo did not come as a surprise to the American DEA agents who have warned of the imminent escape plan of the Druglord. In March last year, agents in Los Angeles reported a possible escape operation funded by another drug trafficking organization linked to the Sinaloa cartel. The DEA, though did not specify which organization, but investigation revealed that bribes and threat are given and made to the prison officials.

Another report also came in July 2014, El Chapo was overheard discussing escape plans with his lawyers during his counsel time. He was also directing his drug operation in his cell, and sending directives to his son Ivan, who takes care of business while he was away.

It is believed he spent $50million on the elaborate underground escape route, which took his engineers around a year to complete. The slim tunnel, complete with oxygen-supply piping overhead, was bored by the Sinaloa Cartel’s expert mining engineers, using professional equipment. They would have had to remove more than 3,250 tonnes of earth.

Cartel leader El Chapo, who got his nickname ('The Shorty') from his 5ft, 6in stature, would have been able to stand up in the tunnel. He prised open a grill in the prison showers, unnoticed by guards, before climbing down a 32ft shaft into the tunnel.
