Australian National David Taylor, 33, and his British girlfriend, Sara Connor, 45, has been jailed by the Indonesian holiday island of Bali on Monday, after the two killed a police officer, Wayan Sudarsa.

David was sentenced to six years, while Sara was sentenced to four years for the murder of the officer, reported to have been killed at the Kuta beach, with wounds on his neck and head.

The two had denied the murder, and has since been remanded since August of last year. They accused the policeman to have stolen Sara's purse.

Prosecutors called for eiht-year sentence for David as he appeared dressed in white shirt and black pants as his legal aide interprets court proceedings to him, while he nods his head in acceptance.

Delivering the judgement,presiding judge Yanto said;

The defendant (Taylor) has been proven to have violated the law and is sentenced to six years in prison.

After David's ruling, Sara then appeared before the courthouse too. The presiding judge, Judge I Made Pasek said;

Sara Connor has been proven to have aided the defendant Taylor in violence that resulted in the victim's death...and is sentenced to four years in prison.

It was reported that Sara had sat on the back of Wayan and hold back his neck, so he can't defend himself.

The man stole from his parents after killing the wife Trang, 24 years and left to play some online games, later went to different temples and pagodas to pray for the soul of the dead wife.

Vietnam law does not allow killing anyone, death sentence is often pronounced on murderers. If Quat is guilty of this crime, he may be facing death sentence.

Speaking to some analysts about the fate of the unemployed software developer, some argued he is likely to be handled a death sentence, while other claimed he will be put away for a long time because of the little child the couple had together who might still need parental care in the future.

At the moment, the police are said to be investigating the issue further.
