1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster In Auction For $9.9 Million

A pre-war era German 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster luxury car was sold at Auction in Arizona for a whopping sum of $9.9 Million on Friday evening. The car though forecasted to be sold between $10 Million to $13 Million.

         

The car was sold to Reginald Sinclaire of Larkspur, Colo, the heir to Corning glass, and delivered to the United states, it never left the country since then. In the last 80 years, the car was said to have only covered 11,000 miles in the past 80 years.

The expensive car that was sold at a public auction was a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO that went for $34.65 million in August 14, 2014.
