A young boy was killed in an escalator tragedy at the Hong Chi He Gou station metro station in Chongqing, China when he was pulled down by a moving handrail and was trapped between the handrail and the floor. The staff at the scene of the accident tried helping to save the boy's life, but there was nothing the user could have done to revive the young man.
According to eyewitness report, the machine worked normally, but stopped when the boy was crushed by the handrail, and was dead before emergency services arrives at the scene.
The escalator is now closed for further investigations.
In July 2015, a Chinese mum also saved her life of her baby, while she was seen crushed by the esalator in Xiang Liujuan.
