The electoral tribunal on Tuesday dismisses the petition files by the candidate of Accord party, Sen. Rashidi Ladoja, and has upheld the election of the incumbent governor, Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The chairman of the election tribunal, Justice Mohammed Mayaki while delivering his judgement said that Ladoja and his party, Accord, "failed woefully" to prove the allegations of rigging, electoral malpractices, violence and non-compliance with the Electoral Act among others levied against the AC and Abiola Ajumobi.
The tribunal lasted for four and half hours.
