Iconic American Rock And RnB Singer, Prince Dead At 57

The death of iconic American Rock and RnB pioneer, Prince has shocked music fans around the globe. The musician was confirmed dead at his Paiseley park and recording studio, Chanhassen, Minnesota. He was 57. Prince was a song-writer, singer and legendary guitarist behind songs like "Purple Rain," "Raspberry Beret," and "1999"

                         

Yvette Noel-Schure, Prince publicist confirmed the news early afternoon on Thursday. He said;

It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57, There are no further details as to the cause of death at this time.

Carver County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jason Kamerud says deputies responded to a call from his home at 9:43am, and later confirmed that there was a dead body inside, but won't reveal the identity until the next-of-kin is notified. Several hours later, Noel-Schure confirmed the news of Prince's death.

News went round last Thursday, Prince was briefly hospitalized and there was an emergency landing of his flight in Atlanta to treat him, and his team later said it was a flu and he is recovering, causing him to cancel 2 shows in April.

The cause of his death is yet to be determined
