Police have arrested a man in the East London tube station on Saturday night after he had stabbed three people. Police subdued the man with a stun gun before arresting him. Police in Leytonstone station have said they are treating the incident as a terrorist attack.
One of the stabbed people sustained injuries, though not life-threatening, the other two sustained minor injuries. Police said they were called around 7pm about a man that had stabbed people with a knife, and also threatening others.
The Metropolitan Counter Terrorism commander, Richard Walton, said that;
We are treating this as a terrorist incident.I would urge the public to remain calm, but alert and vigilant. The threat from terrorism remains at severe, which means that a terrorist attack is highly likely.
Police are yet to release the suspect's name to the general public, but the new threat facing the UK is after the country launch its war on ISIS earlier this week, and have been targeting ISIS oilfield. Also a report by European intelligence showed that ISIS is planning a Paris-style attack on UK, a senior European counterterrorism official told CNN.
