Police In South Africa Arrest A Foreigner For Shooting A Boy Who Broke Into His Shop

Police in Johannesburg, South Africa, have arrested a foreign national who shot a teenager that broke into his shop in Thokoza on Johannesburg's East Rand, Gauteng.

The young teenagers and his friends had turned back on their way to Pretoria, turned back at the train station and headed to the man's shop.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale said:

On the way back from the train station, they were singing and they went to a spaza shop which is owned by a foreign national.hey kicked the burglar door and the owner pulled out a firearm. He fired into the group of learners, injuring the scholar.

The learner was taken to a nearby clinic, but was declared dead on arrival.

Police did not recover the firearms used in the shooting, but recovered the ammunition in the owner's possession
