Singapore Airlines With 222 passengers and 19 crew Catches Fire After Emergency Landing

A Singaporean airline(SIA), Flight SQ368, a Boeing 777-300ER carrying 222 passengers and 19 crew members burst into flames at Changi airport, Singapore after an emergency landing. 

The plane took off from Changi airport at 2:25am on June 27 and was expected to arrive at Milan at 8:45am local time. Two hours into the flight, an engine oil triggered a warning message, forcing the pilot to turn back and request for emergency landing.

On arrival to the Singapore airport, the right engine of the plane burst into flames.

In a statement released by the Airline and Singapore airport, the fire was put out in minutes by firefighters, and all passengers aboard the flight were evacuated safely from the plane.

The passengers have now been re-scheduled to fly again on Monday to Milan via another flight.

Singapore Airline said they will be cooperating with authorities on the investigation of the plane.
