Wizkid And Fuse ODG Slams BET Award Organizers For Disrespecting African Artiste

The BET Awards that happened on Sunday might have come and gone, but some African artistes are not happy with the show organizers. African artistes have always complained about how the show organizers have treated them in the past, and still complains because the previous complains are not getting to them.

This year, Nigeria artistes and also owner of Starboy records, Wizkid have made his stand against the organizers after failing to show up at the BET nominees and preshows parties. The singer went on Twitter to let the award organizers knows, he will always attend the BET awards anytime he is in LA or anytime they are organizing the awards, but he won't be showing up for pre-shows or nominees parties because the organizers are disrespecting African artistes. The artistes said the show organizers give out awards 10am before the main BET show, which means, you don't see African artistes shown on TV picking up their awards.

Wizkid finally says he really doesn't care much about awards, as far as the fans enjoy and play his music, he is satisfied.

Not just Wizkid, another singer not happy with BET awards organizers is Nana Richard Abiona, popularly known as Fuse ODG. Fuse ODG is a British musician of Ghanaian descent and he seems to make similar complain like the Starboy CEO.

He complains that the show organizers have no regards for African acts and their achievement and that is the very reasons he did not attend the backstage awards given to them.
