A Passenger Plane In Indonesia Goes Missing

A Twin otter plane carrying 10 people, including 3 children have gone missing in Indonesia. The plane was flying through South Sulawesi province when it lost radio contact  just 11 minutes after take-off from Masamba.

Before its disappearance, the plane has 3 crew members and 7 passengers. Confirming the disappearance, Julius Barata , Transport ministry spokesperson said that the missing plane is owned by airline Aviastar Mandiri, and search and rescue team have been deployed to find the plane.

                  

Head of the airport authority in Makassar,Ahmad Munir said the plane heading for Makassar last known position was 20 miles from Masamba.

Indonesia has faced a high airplane mishap and have a very bad air safety record with 59 out of 63 of its planes banned in Europe.

Airline Aviastar Mandiri have taken to their website and ask for prayers and cooperation from the general public, while also releasing photos of the crew members.
