A horror train accident has left a man's head removed from his body in Wandsworth Common after leaning out of a Gatwick Express window. The man who is on-board Gatwick Express train heading to London Victoria, when he decided to put his head out of the window.
Police condone off Wandsworth Common station after the accident
According to an eyewitness;
He lifted his head out and didn't notice the train was coming. The head flew off. I ran, it was disgusting. The train stopped and people were screaming, they were coming out.
I just had to turn my head away. There were 15 people in the carriage
However, Inspector James Tyrrell of the British transport police denied that the head of the man was not removed or the man decapitated, Tyrell said;
We are aware of a number of reports on social media which say the man was decapitated, however this is not the case.
Confirming the incident is the spokesman for Souther and Gatwick Express:
We can confirm reports of an incident on board a Gatwick Express train travelling to Victoria from Gatwick during which a man sustained serious head injuries. The emergency services attended the scene at Wandsworth Common station and despite their best efforts, they were unable to save him.
