Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A Vietnamese woman have been sentenced to 10 Years for child trafficking, and selling the virginity of another 16 year old Vietnamese girl for $1500. The court in Phnom Penh sentenced the woman on the 20th of May 2015.
Ching Thytieng,45 had lured the young lady into meeting her Chinese client in the hotel for 3 days (16-19 November 2011) and in return she collected $1500, but at the end, she gave the young woman $700.
Thytieng though denied the allegation, said through her interpreter that she had not seen the young woman before or know her, even though they lived in the same community.
The victim after the incident had travelled to Kampot to work as a sex worker for 22 days before an NGO rescued her at the brothel. She had lived in the organization since then, and when she came out about how she lost her virginity, the organization decided to help her, and filed a lawsuit against Thytieng
