The Vietnam U-23 have booked their place in the semi-final of the ongoing Southeast Asia game (SEA). The team won the Laos team in a match that took place in Singapore with a goal to nothing.
Coach Toshiya Miura side scored the lone goal that sees the team to the next stage of the tournament after Thanh Hien scored the goal that went pass the Laotian goalkeeper, Vathana.
The Vietnam side, though mounts pressure on their opponent had difficulties getting the ball pass the Laos defenders and the goalkeeper.
Vietnam is now leading the group with 9 points after trashing Brunei, 6-0 and winning the Malaysian side, 3-1. The Vietnamese team will be playing Timor Leste on June 7 and Thailand on June 10.
