The fact that people don't like to associate to failure is what is currently happening in the face of Nigerian politics, as the 16 years ruling power of people democratic party (PDP) came to an end after losing the federal seat of power in the presidential election. The incumbent government of President Goodluck Jonathan was voted out by Nigerians while they voted the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
These are some top politicians who defected from PDP after the March 28 presidential elections :
PDP youth leader in Kwara state, Gbemi Saraki joined his brother Bukola Saraki in APC
Oyo state, Ms Ayoka Lawani, a prominent member of PDP in the state decamped to APC
The current deputy governor of Jigawa state, Ahmad Mahmud also decamped from PDP to APC
In Benue state, former Attorney general of the federation, Michael Aondoakaa and Brigadier Gen. Chris Onoja decamped to APC
In Ondo state, the PDP gubernatorial candidate for 2012, Dr. Olusola Oke also left the party for the APC
In Gombe, Hundreds of people already jumped off the bandwagon of PDP into APC, among them is the majority leader of the Gombe state house of Assembly, Hon. Mamman Alkalio

Akwa Ibom, the former governor and PDP board of trustees member, Victor Attah, Don Etiebet, PDP BOT member, Senator Ita Enang are all planning to decamp soon. The men are already attending APC rallies and campaigning openly for APC candidates.
In Plateau state, former governor, Joshua Dariye,Ambassador Fedelis Tapgun; former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, General Jeremiah Timbut Useni: Senator Victor Lar; and the state’s Deputy Governor, Ambassador Ignatius Longjan.
Also former Minister and former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Dame Pauline Tallen; Engineer Jimmy Cheto; and Chief Jethro Akun have concluded plans to move to APC soon
