The State of Tennessee will get new jobs as South Korean appliance maker, LG announced that it plan and have selected the state to build its first washing machine plant in the United States.
The facility is set to cost $250 million, spanning across a 829,000-square-foot, and will also create 600 jobs in the state.
Speaking on the company's decision is the CEO of LG home appliances, Dan Song, who said the search for picking the perfect spot for the facility started six years ago, but Tennessee is clearly the "clear choice."
The governor of the state, Bill Haslam declines to comment on the incentives package offered to FG, as the contract between the state and the company is yet to be finalized.
Also,LG is also in the process of building a $300 Million headquarter facility in in Eaglewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
