President Muhammadu Buhari has made it known during his campaign that he won't tolerate corruption practices from any individual, corporate or government body, to send a strong message to Nigerians who might have believed his statement was just a norm all politicians used in deceiving their followers, Buhari ordered the arrest of the brother of Hajia Aisha Buhari, Nigeria first lady.
The immediate younger brother of Mr Buhari wife, Alhaji Yola, was ordered to be arrested by the president after he heard that he extorted from a businessman. Alhaji Yola extorted 300million Naira from the unnamed businessman with the promise of getting him an oil block from the administration of the present government.
Mr Buhari told the businessman that he was a stupid businessman, because he should have known that such fraud cannot happen in his administration, and immediately ordered that Alhaji Yola be arrested by the State security service(SSS) until he produced the money extorted. He personally gave the directives that SSS should handle the case till Alhaji Yola produces the money.
Alhaji Yola refunded the money and he is currently released on bail.
