An embarrassing letter of a mother meant for her 13-year-old son in which she plans to teach him "a lesson in independence” has gone viral after her son treated her like a "roommate" and "doormat". The letter written by "an Estella Havisham" to her son, Aaron reminded the teenager that he seems to have forgotten he is 13, and she is the parent.
The letter was written after a disagreement between the mother and son, and the son failure to obey her rule. The woman now decided to share the bill with the son, reminding him that he had said he could make money off YouTube on his own.
The mother in the law he had written strips off Aaron of his Internet, lamps/lightbulbs and share the bill in this format;
Rent- $430
Electricity- $116
Internet- $21
Food- $150
The boy will also empty the rubbish, sweep and vacuum on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, else will pay a $30 maid fee.
At the end of the letter, the mother wrote "If you decide you would rather be MY CHILD again instead of a roommate, we can negotiate terms.”
“It is still a work in progress. This incident just happened last week. It has made a difference though. When I ask him to do something, he does it,” the woman wrote in a subsequent post.
