French Alps, France : A Germanwings flight, 49525 flying from Barcelona, Spain to Dusseldorf, Germany with 148 people have crashed. The crash was reported to have occured in the Mountanous Southeastern, France,French Prime Minister Manuel Valls told reporters.

French media reported the plane was carrying 142 passengers, 2 pilots and four cabin crew members. France's president, Francois Hollande said they are unlikely to be any survival and said the crash is a tragedy.

The crash happened at about 10:30 a.m. (5:30 a.m. ET) and according to Debris from the crash has been spotted, according to the France interior minister, Pierre-Henry Brandet.

The airline carrier tweeted from the official handle that families should check their website to monitor as events unfold and also express sympathy to the families of everybody affected.
