Internet cable in Vietnam breaks again

Around 10am this morning, internet users in Vietnam experienced a downtime in internet. According to information from AAG, undersea cable operators (Asia America Gateway),This morning , the 23/04/2015, undersea cable Asia Pacific have experienced a problem.

         

Specifically,  SH1 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong (China) cable segments are broken, affecting all providers of telecommunications services over the cable line.The Network Operations Center is working with the station to locate where the cable cut off.  Because of the incident, the communication and exchange of information between Overseas customers and Vietnam internet users will be affected. Services such as web, email, voice, video traffic will be affected.

The cable also had problems in the beginning of the year, and takes over 2 weeks to complete. AAG is one of four undersea cable in Vietnam now and is the largest online.

Cable fault causes has been attributed to sharks bite.
