Lafayette shooting

17 high school students and adults have been reported dead after a recent school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland at around 2:30 PM local time. 

The shooter was later  identified as a 19- year old Nikolaz Cruz, who was reported not to have graduated from the school, and had been expelled. A teacher why talking about Cruz said that the school saw him as a threat, and he was banned from the school campus.

                   

Jim Gard, a math teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School also said that in the past, the shooter was known to be a violent and aggressive person towards other students.

The shooting in Florida is the sixth school shooting to have occurred this year. 

According to the Broward County Public Schools, the shooting on the campus occurred at almost dismissal time, when students heard the fire alarm, they students all came out of their classes, and that was when Nikolaz starts his shooting.

                       

When the shooter was arrested, police said he had the AR-15 semiautomatic weapon, with countless magazines.

Cruz In Court

According to the report, after the shooting, Nicolas was able to blend in with the rest of the students, and walked into a nearby walmart to get a drink, he then walked into a McDonalds.

Police later apprehended Cruz, and he told police that "he was the gunman who entered the school campus . . . and began shooting students he saw in the hallways," according to court papers filed Thursday afternoon.

                        

"Cruz stated that he brought additional loaded magazines to the school campus and kept them hidden in a backpack until he got on campus to begin his assault," according to an arrest affidavit.

Cruz appeared in court on Thursday with an orange jumpsuit on charges of premeditated murder in the killing of 17 students and faculty at the school.

The presiding judge,  Judge Kim Theresa Mollica ordered that Cruz be detained without bonds on the 17 count of murder.

Before the trial,  Chief Assistant Public Defender Gordon Weekes, which office is defending Cruz said that the suspect is a “deeply troubled child who has endured a lot of emotional trauma in a short period of time.” and had trouble since the death of his mother.

John Russell Houser

The killer of the 2 women in Grand Theatre 16 in Lafayette, Louisiana, has been unveiled, his name is John Russell Houser. He killed 2 women, wounded 11 others, and later shot himself in the head in a movie theatre on Thursday, using a gun he purchased legally from a pawn shop in Alabama.

Movie goers were seeing the new, Amy Schumer movie, Trainwreck, when Houser stood up and fired 10-round clips.

Houser also known as "Rusty" claimed on his Linkedln account page that he is an expert in "Investment Management" and seeking investotors for projects. "Let us brainstorm some list together,he wrote. Some of his past positions includes the ownership of a Lagrange, Ga., pub called Rusty's Buckhead Pub. He declared bankruptcy in 2002.

How The Shooting Took Place

Houser is a law graduate with a history of mental problems. He had suddenly stood up from the seat in the theatre room and fired 10 rounds, causing panic in the Theatre room, he then left the theatre room via the side door and head towards his car, a 1995 Lincoln, while at the parking lot, he saw the police cruiser arriving, and he went back to the theatre and fired three more rounds. He then shot himself in the head as police came close to the scene. Lafayette Police Chief Jim Craig said at a press conference.

                 

Craig said;Out of 20 the rounds, he shot 11 people, but some people suffered multiple wounds,One person was shot four times.

Police said Houser had a history of mental and legal problems. In 2005, Houser and his wife, Kim left for Phoenix city, later the same year, she filed a domestic violence charge against him, and also a restraining order. She had removed all guns from the house for fear of his mental health.

He had applied for a concealed carry permit in 2006, but was denied the permit because of his history of arson and domestic violence. Also in 2008, the family filed charges against him as he tried to stop his own daughter's wedding. He had a manic depression or Bipolar disorder. The court granted the family petition to have him involuntarily.

Houser shared some extreme political views on social media, and also written different blog on different political issues. He had supported the controversial Westboro baptish church that protest against gays at military funerals and other public events.

He had only tweeted twice from his account, read below :

    

He had always made his support fo Adolf hitler, and always praised him. Also a political forum website, Houser had written blogs on topics like : "believe US will be MAD MAX < 5 years" and added "no family safe in US environment." He shared several posts on the site about the potential collapse of the U.S. economy, but does not appear to have posted on the site since 2013.
