Kathmandu, Nepal: An earthquake of 7.9 magnitude has struck the central city of Nepal Capital, Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara. The death toll in the death toll rises to 1911 today as rescue operations in the country intensifies. Also victims of the quake include people from India, Bandladesh, Tibet and Mount Everest where avalanches were triggered. 

              

The country declared a state of emergency because of the quake and also a dozen of aftershock that hit the country. International communities have been to Nepal to help the country, including India, as they sift through  tonnes of rubbles in search of survivors in the Himalayan nation’s worst temblor in over 80 years.

               

According to Nepal home ministry, the death toll of reach 1911, while 4627 have been injured. Officials fear the toll may rise as the search for survivors continues. People have stayed out in the chilly weather, anticipating more aftershocks.

                

Many historic buildings in the capital city have been destroyed, among the dead is also the daughter of an Indian embassy employee, official said
