Nicholas Laycock set free

Nicholas Laycock, 25-year-old was arrested by police in Cambodia after a 22-year-old British lady was reported to have been raped. Nicholas, who has been working at the Acadia hostel for six months walked free from the Cambodia cell after a CCTV footage showed that the duo had a consensual sex, and the lady who was drunk fell on her back, sustaining injuries while walking behind Nicholas to the bar.

Nicholas spent two days in the prison cell, after the lady and her two friends in a statement said she was raped. This was because Nicholas and the lady were seen walking close by the riverside during the evening, and when she returned, she had serious injuries to her waist and her back.

The Investigation

The owner of Acadia hostel, Mr Joel Miles, where Nicholas worked had allegedly alarmed that a guest was raped, and decided to study CCTV footage. According to Mr Miles during his own personal investigation, the victim had been drinking, and after having consensual sex with Mr Nicholas, fell on his back while behind him, and that was where she sustained the injury.

Clear Eyes

Dazed from her fall, and confused what happened to her, the victim decided to recant her statement, but the police declined her from recanting the statement.

Free Bird

Prosecutors at the Cambodia court today allowed Mr Nicholas Laycock to walk free, after an overwhelming evidence was produce to prove his innocence.
