Nigeria immigration boss sacked

After the arrest of Ahmad al-Assir, ISIS leader who was on his way to Nigeria, President Buhari ordered full probe into how Al-Assir got a visa, and today he had suspended the Immigration boss, David Parradang.

The suspension of Mr Parradang is to take immediate effect and his from Friday, 21st of August 2015, and his service’s deputy comptroller general, Martin Abeshi is to take over from him. Parradang in office had caused over 20 job applicants lose their life during a job recruitment stampede across the country last year.

             

Though Mr Parradang denied any fraud allegations when it was reported that each of the applicants had paid #1000 Naira each, and the estimated number of students who did the exam were more than 1,000,000 across the country.

Parradang claimed that the ministry of interior minister, Mr Abba Moro handled the deal from registration to the exam day, and investigation into the issue never see the light of the day, and Mr Moro was never suspended from his office.

The ISIS leader that was stopped at the Beirut airport, Lebanon,is wanted for the clash in 2013,  when his supporters clash with the military personnel at the military checkpoint. The fighting happened around Sidon,Lebanon and it wounded dozen of civilians, while other remained paralysed.

Ahmad al-Assir was making his way into Nigeria after 2 years on the run from authorities, but was carrying a fake Palestinian  passport and an original Nigeria passport.
