Nigerian man in Malaysia

A Nigerian man, Ekene Collins Isaac, 37 years old has been sentenced to death in Malaysia after he was found guilty of trafficking 915.6 grammes of methamphetamine three years ago. The judge, Datuk Wan Afrah Wan Ibrahim, who presided over the case delivered the judgement after the prosecutor was able to prove the case against the accused beyond doubt, after presenting 13 witnesses, while the defence only presented one witness.

                    

Isaac, who claimed to be a cleaner in Nigeria, allegedly committed the offence at Wad 6C, Serdang Hospital, at Jalan Puchong, Kajang, between 7.20 a.m. on March 3, 2012 and 1.00 p.m. on March 5 of the same year when the drug was found inside his body, and was alleged that he had swallowed the illegal drugs on a flight to Malaysia.

Isaac was represented by V. Samynathan while deputy public prosecutor Nazir Amir Johari was the prosecutor.
