Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr., popularly known as "Busta Rhymes" is behind bars after he threw a protein drink at a worker at Steel Gym in the Chelsea area of New York on Wednesday night (Aug. 5). The rapper threw a bottle of  Lean Body Protein to the back of the head of the gym employee, but the man was not seriously injured, cops said.

According to witnesses at the scene, Busta Rhymes and the victim had been at odds for a long time. According to a bodybuilder, Busta Rhymes and the employee had a fallout on Tuesday when he tried to bring in a cameraman to capture his workout routine. But the videographer was not allowed entry into the gym.

Busta Rhymes on Wednesday,  bought a chocolate-flavored Lean Body drink and confronted the front desk employee for denying entry to his videographer. The employee told him he had to leave immediately.

Things got heated, Busta Rhymes splashed water on him, and he did the same, Busta Rhyme security got between them and stopped the attack.

When the police arrived, the employee was said to have said different version of his story, and Busta Rhymes had no physical contact with him.

Speaking about the incident, Busta Rhymes lawyer, Scott Leemon, said that the allegation charges are just another, "bunch of bull, This is another attempt to take advantage of Busta’s celebrity status"
