teacher kidnapped in rivers state

Police in Myanmar are searching for a British school teacher, Harris Binotti, 25, after his colleague, Peter Gary Ferguson, 47, and also a school teacher in Myanmar. Peter was found dead after a night of drinking at downtown, Yangon.

He was found dead with injuries on his head and chest inside Harris's apartment.

The death of Peter was known in the morning after Peter's wife could not reach him, and after going to see Harris's place, they found his dead body on the floor and contacted authorities.

According to local officer, both men were teaching at Horizon international school, though Horizon had released a press statement saying that Peter was a teacher at Brainworks-Total School in Yangon, and not Horizon International School.

According to commenters on Cambodia expats, Harris Binotti leaves the country on a Thai Airways flight on November 5.

Rivers, Nigeria: Kidnappers in Rivers are demanding N25million for the release of Joseph Dimpa, Mar­tina Ofuru, and Charity Mba­jike, and a National youth service corps (NYSC) member, Obinna Duru and a security guard, Jonathan Woforu.

They were kidnapped on October 12 at the Agba-Ndele Community Secondary School in Emohua Local Gov­ernment Area of Rivers State. The kidnappers are making their demands known through one of the community chief of Ndele Community.

                 

The ruler of the Ndele Community, Eze God­win Iransi is pleading with the kidnappers to release of their victims for the love of God unconditionally, as the community have no such fee anywhere.

Eze Godwin Iransi said;

They (abductors) have been able to call; they called one of my chiefs and they demanded a ransom of N25 million.
I am pleading that, at least, for the sake of God and for the sake of humanity, release those four persons. Two of them are women and two of them are men. How can you take women to God knows where. They took them through the Sem­brero River. Are they keeping them in the creeks? Are they keeping them in the bush? Are they keeping them under what condition? They should please release them,” he appealed
