The greatest boxing match of our time between Floyd Mayweather Jnr. and Manny Pacquaio just ended at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. The fight was won by unanimous decision.
The judges scored 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112 all in Mayweather's favour.
Speaking to reporters after the fight, Mayweather said :
First off I want to thank God for this victory. I want to thank all the fans who came to Las Vegas, He’s a hell of a fighter. I take my hat off to Manny Pacquiao.
Now I see why he’s one of the guys that’s at the pinnacle in the sport of boxing.
I kept him on the outside. I was a smart fighter ... We did what we had to do tonight.
Pacquaio thought he had won the match and slow down the pace in the last round of the game, he told Max Kellerman:
“It’s a good fight. I thought I won the fight.” i didn’t step up the pace late in the fight because i thought i was ahead.
Mayweatther is now 48-0 and had said his last game will happen in September, afterwards might quit boxing.
