Progressive Lawyers forum

While Nigerians await the transition of the Nigerian government come May 29th, 2015, a group in Nigeria called the Progressive Lawyers forum are offering free legal services to all government agencies that are meant to tackle corrupt politicians in the country under Buhari's administration.

In a press briefing last Thursday, the group’s National Coordinator, Silas Onu, said the offer will help the agencies cut down the cost of prosecuting the corrupt government officials, past and present

To demonstrate our commitment to support the fight against corruption, we have resolved to offer pro-bono legal services to all government agencies. There are too many thieves that need to be made an example for prospective ones to learn from, therefore the cases on corruption may overwhelm the internal lawyers of these agencies.

The group advises the Buhari led government to remove the constitution that stop incumbent governors and the president be probed for corrupt practices. The group also urges the government to choose someone with a good clean records to head the various anti-graft agencies in the country.

General Muhammadu Buhari campaign selling point is the curbing of corruption in the Nigerian society as Nigerians believe the country have been stagnant for a long time without improvement and blames the Jonathan-led administration of allowing the corrupt government officials stay around without prosecution.
