Police have arrested a man, John Mcginn, who helped a 9-Year-old from fire in her home in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire but raped her few hours after the rescue. The firefighter had tricked the girl into thinking they were both playing 'King of the Castle', but later overpowered her, and have his way.
After the act, Mcginn then threatened to kill the mother of the victim if she ever lets words out of what happened. The victim had kept quiet since the incident happened, but she was left traumatised since it happened in 1994, but decided to report the case to the police recently.
Why speaking to the police, Mcginn said that all claims of the victims were "downright lies, For her to come out with that is ridiculous".
I would rather put a bullet in my own head than be a paedophile. Hanging is too good for a paedophile.
He said the victim is not a nice person and had previously tried to blackmail his person because he had a lucrative pension.
Mcginn was sentenced on 6 charges, including rape Glasgow's High Court yesterday, and will be sentenced later this month.
